Good GPS lap timers?

So what are some of the good GPS lap timers that everyone is using and why are they good?

I have a XT Racing GPS Pro 4, along with the normal lap logging it has data acquisition ( 4 channels ) which is kind of neat in that you can set up to record various sensors ( RPM, TPS, temp water/oil, etc, etc ) it is also equipment with gyros so you can record accel. braking, lean angle. It is also offered as a 8 channel unit to record even more or if you can find the original GPS Pro it was standard with the 8 channels. Of course it is alot more than I need, I have a friend that has the Starlane GPS model which seems to have the same features but costs more.

With the XT Racing unit it was fairly easy, the unit is removable and comes with easy loc connectors for the wiring harness. With a wiring diagram and access to the ecu harness you can wire it up in a hour or so. Of course I do this for a living so I might be over stating it a bit.

I have been using a Qstarz gps recorder. Because of its low price (cheap) you have to download the info to your computer (it does have bluetooth I think, or least one of the models has it) It has a nice program and shows speeds at different points on the track (which you can interface on google earth) plus a bunch or other software features.
it is small and you can hide it on Rogers bike without em knowing about it and compare his laps with yours lol

I remember a conversation with Roger and he mentioned some units which are worth a sh......
Maybe the Man can chime in (but I guess he is really busy today).

Generally, when it comes to GPS you get what you pay for.
In the last couple of years some extremely fast chipsets entered the market, so do some research and figure out what's in the pretty box.
Refresh rate and reception quality is everything!!
