BT-016 For mixed use?

I have a buddy with a Ducati 916 who had a really bad wreck on the street a few years ago. He is just starting to get the bike back together and wants to try a track day eventually. Cyclegear has the Bridgestone BT-016 front/rear for 200$. Would these be ok for the track or would it just set him up for another crash, he doesnt want to make the Duc a full track bike so he needs tires that will work on the street as well.

Totally depends on his speed. Plenty of people have used them here.

I've used the 016's , 03's, Michelin 2CT's, and even a set pilot roads on my duc 1098 at various track days. Like Roger said depends on "speed and agression' during the track day!
