Gearing for ASMA

I was talking to Roger about gearing and changing the sprockets to a -2F/+2R I believe is what Roger told me if I’m not mistaken. I'm just curious to know what other people are running and what works well with the track. Also with this setup I can only assume my acceleration is going to increase dramatically. Thanks.

For starters My best guess/advise would be... for what its worth Gear for a top end speed of 140 mph

I can only do trades at this point with the bike and 2000 cash LOL. Sorry. But I wouldn't mind knowing how much its going for though.

Tony might have to pay you to take the bike.
It's been down a few times and has some motor issues.
Top speed isn't the most important thing to gear your bike.
Corner exit speed and fewer shifts to run the track would be a start.
I may be wrong but a lot of racers don't even get to top gear.
Right now, the queer paramedic aka "blended family" is the only 1K CBR that comes to mind.

I only ever make it to fourth gear with my bike. And the max Speed was about 138-140 at one point that I could remember.

Theres nothing a wrench and time can't fix. But I put to much money into the 07 and forgot to get the sprocket and chain changed out but I didn't want to do it till I got on the track first and worked on the basic settings on the bike done first before I moved to other things.

Ya but I'm not confirming on that cause i'm not usually looking down just before I break so thats what I recall seeing at one point as the highest.

OP, I get about 146mph GPS recorded on a 2007 GSX-R1000 no build and pump gas. (Edit: with the wind at my back. Into the wind, about 141, sometimes as little as 139)

That's with -2/+4, and I gear to a) have the bike handle, and b) remove first gear. I don't gear for top speed, but with that gearing, I hit 173mph at Miller (also GPS recorded, with video if you're curious).

Gps indicated 146mph top speed, 6th gear rev limiter on street tires.. longgggg road back from src (canyon twisties in az.)
