Top speed isn't the most important thing to gear your bike.
Corner exit speed and fewer shifts to run the track would be a start.
I may be wrong but a lot of racers don't even get to top gear.
Right now, the queer paramedic aka "blended family" is the only 1K CBR that comes to mind.
