Poop :""( something on my bike is screwy. When i go down the free way the bars and top clamp are kinda turned. I raised the back end up 5 mm. And it seems to handle better. But when i WOT it, the bars still start bucking and try to kill me. I am going to break the front end all loose. Go over make sure its straight, then get the laser going and see if anything else is wrong

Loosen the bottom triple pinch bolts (not the top ones or clipons). Roll the bike to a curb/step, and push it into the obstruction, then dive the forks by grabbing brake as it hits, using the momentum of the bike to compress the forks.

This will untwist the triples, so the axle is square to the direction of travel.

Do it three or four times, then retighten the pinch bolts to spec. Now you can look at realigning the clip-ons by swinging the bars through the travel side-to-side, and seeing if you have the same gap on each side. If not, widen or narrow one (if you have a new scar on the bar end from a crash, chances are you need to widen that side).

Then ride it. If it's still AFU, then your frame's bent.

Just a reminder, it gets cold at night, use antifreeze, unlike me. I pulled the GSXR out of the trailer yesterday and had a nasty suprise when I started it up.....milky oil. So, pulled the bike apart and 4 of the 5 freeze plugs in the head were popped. I put them back in and have changed the oil 2 times already and it's mostly clear, but I need to get to town to pick up another oil filter or two and I should be good to go.

this school thing is really killing my groove. every time i spend money on books i cant help but think of all the fun i could have had on my motorcycle with that $.... i know this is a long term sacrifice, i sure hope it pays off lol...as of now the Cheetahs is hibernating...until the funds and home work issues are solved. im gonna miss you guys out there.... have tons of fun while i sit here and lol

My first SX Ever was Phoenix. I scored front row seats right over the rider entrance. I ended up catching Josh Hills goggles after the 450 Main.
