spoke with mickey this morning through text briefly, he's chasing the nurses around like a dirty old man, and the chest tube got yanked last night.

I visited with Mickey yesterday , he's looking good.
After watching him operate the walker , he looks like he's prime for a rear ending.
Where is Ryan or Tony when you need them ?

Yeah, I'm home and doing well. Ready to kick some booty real soon, I swear Marios following me around was just like my pup Chico, following me and slobbering like I was carrying a fresh t-bone snack.

Mickey,
You off the walker yet? I was wheelchair bound for over a week; now I'm just limping around and walking very sloooowly! The down time associated with healing does provide plenty of opportunity to cruize ebay and order the parts necessary to put the bike back together...lol! Hope the recovery is ahead of plan.

Cheers, Dennis

The walker is still a necessity, but they are trusting me to drive myself around now. FFFRRREEEDDDOOOMMM woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I figure the walker will be history next week. Trying not to rush things and give em a chance to properly mend. :?

That's great news about the driving...I attempted it for the first time about a week ago...what a fiasco...lol. After dragging my legs into the truck and putting it in reverse it became obvious that we weren't quite there yet...couldn't make my feet function correctly...had to re-park it using the hand brake...took a hour to get back outa the truck and into the house...lol. Since them there's been major improvement and I'm able to safely drive and have even returned to work. Still have to help drag the left leg in but it's getting better every day. Got a copy of the surgical center billing for the hand surgery...without Dr's and only a 4 hr outpatient procedure it was $32K! Can't even imagine what they'll bill for your ride to EP. But at least we're doing our part to stimulate the economy...lol.
I'm going to try and spectate the 4hr enduro in Aug, hopefully you'll make it as well; keep us posted on your progress.

Cheers, Dennis

Dennis, what happened to your legs? I thought your hand was the issue...

When the bike flipped, it hit/landed on top of me hard enough to break the rear subframe. My left hip was displaced until Sunday when it went back in on it's own (good fun), both thighs and butt so bruised they were black. This pain overshadowed my hand, as I couldn't stand, walk, sit, or lie down without being in serious pain.

Getting back to work this week. I can actually walk on my own these days, just not any extended distances. As I see it, Sept could happen, but only time will tell. :|

That's great news! Is the walking distance due to muscles or other issues? I'm just now starting to walk without a limp and starting to use stairs. I see the dr first time since surgery tomorrow. I'm hoping to make the oct round.
