New Racer Questions

Postby AZFZDude » Mon Sep 09, 2013 3:25 pm

I read the rule book but have a few questions -

How many laps for the middleweight races?
How many laps for Formula 40?
Is there a class for modern vintage?
Slicks are OK in Superstock?
What is the difference in pricing for pre-registering vs registering on-site?

Thanks, Dan

Welcome to the Boards Dan...

I am Shane.. I handle the Tire Changes and also The Announcing for all the Races.

All Races are 7 laps
Exception to this is Formula Amateur and Formula Arroyo which are both 12 laps.
Modern Vintage does have a class.. We call it Sportsman's Cup.
Not 100% sure on the Tires.
For the Pricing I know that there is a Discount for registering for the Track Days early but fro actual race fees I believe it is the same. I do know that we offer discount for Armed Forces Members.

There is also discount for First Time Track days and also a discount for a New Racers

Shane got most of it, so I'll answer the other question.

Slicks are allowed in Unlimited Superstock classes, MW Superstock classes require DOT's.

The advantage of pre register is being higher up on the grids than those who also have no points in the class. We grid by points for everyone who is registered by Saturday at noon, after that we grid by entry date.

No, 1997 and older 600's currently. We may revise that next season.

R model. isn't there an age clause, something like "riders over age 50 + a bike over 10 years old = vintage..." hell I'm vintage all by myself : )

Sorry man, not eligible for the modern vintage class, it's too new...lol. if we allow 2002 models, somebody will get a 99-02 R6 and clean house.

Shane,

If I want to purchase tires & have them mounted Sat afternoon what time do you need my wheels by? I'm assuming you have announcement duties for FA qualifying & the team sprints.

Most anytime Saturday I can mount up tires for you.

Yes I make most of the announcements through out Saturda. Qualifying firFormula Arroyo happens at the end of the day usually around 430.
