Heemsbergen stripped of points/purse from Sept F-Arroyo

Postby Roger@Arroyo » Mon Sep 16, 2013 1:50 pm

Roger Heemsbergen will be stripped of earned points as well as purse money from the September Formula Arroyo win following unsportsmanlike behavior towards race officials after the race. Heemsbergen was given the meatball flag for allegedly jumping the start, and did serve his stop and go penalty during the race.

Following the race, he went to start finish and yelled at 4 race officials, believing he didn't jump the start.

Any other racer would be penalized for this behavior, so I called a few of our racers to decide the penalty as it is unprecedented in our club.

As the purse money would normally revert back to ASMA, which is owned by me, I will hand the purse money to the 4 officials at the next round during the event.

I am sorry for my behavior to all those involved, and to all those who had to witness the altercation.

That can't have been any fun to write.

Thanks for having both morals and ethics, Roger. Don't think anyone thinks any less of you.

Good for you for being a good person. Realizing you've acted inappropriately, and then doing the right thing is a rare thing to witness these days.

That took some mighty big stones Mr. Heemsbergen.

As racers we are competitive, And Roger you being number one in many ways, and places.
And being one of my and may others hero. :drunken:

But still you are only human and make mistakes like all of us. and to admit that you were or did something wrong (reather you did or not) and dish out your own just punishment. makes you even more of a hero in my book. :alien:
